12 volt alternator for Yamaha XT500

(Attention: does not work for the SR500! If built in 1986 use the 6V version)

Only alternator

for complete system with ignition see system 72 95 999 HR.

Output 12V / 180W DC. Replaces the old alternator and the regulator. Although the alternator technically works without a battery, the battery is needed for ignition. You can not trust that the power produced during starting will be enough to ignite.
For installation, no mechanical modifications to the motor housing are necessary.
