System generator & ignition for early air-cooled Yamaha RD with stock dynamo system with points ignition, also for liquid-cooled TZ250
Magnet based generator with integrated ignition. Output at 12V/150W DC. Solid state ignition with its own power supply within the system. Replaces old dynamo, points, regulator and ignition coils. No changes on engine casing needed. The system is technically capable of running without battery. Fitting aircooled Yamaha RD (RD250/350/400, DS6/7, R5) with stock dynamo with points (not CDI magneto!) and (early) liquid cooled TZ250.
Please double check what shaft configuration your Yamaha has! This is a replacement of the system with original contact breaker. Engines with original magnet and electronic ignition are different! Please see our information. Doesn´t fit to RD400 (at least some) - housing cover can not be closed and have to be adjusted.
